It has been so much fun hearing from so many of you over the past 2 days. Responses have ranged from very new friends, such as Marianne and Pierre (Swedish boat, Tekla)) who got our phone number from the site and came for drinks in the cockpit last night, to very early cruising friends Bob and Judy (Pooh Bear), whom we met in Annapolis in 1997 and now know are going to cross the Atlantic this winter--as we plan to do! Other wonderful comments have come from friends made in our high school days, family, and even a few "unknowns". We really hope that this will be a quick and easy way for you to find us as well as for us to know what you are up to.
The beautiful photo above was given to us by Scott and Mary (Egret) who have a Nordhavn 46 and are anchored nearby. They are wonderful photographers and this is Cormorant at anchor in Gaeta, with the lights of the navy base and Gaeta Veccia in the background.
Our new motor mounts arrived late yesterday and they are being installed now. If all goes well, we will also confirm new insurance for the boat today and will be sailing west before the weekend. Our first stop will be Ponza, so more on that later.
